I love fruity, complicated, summery cocktail concoctions just as much as the next girl. but unless someone is making it for me, I don’t drink them.
at home, I’m a dump-&-drink kind of gal. which means [before assumptions are made] ..easily accessible ingredients, that only require me to pour [stir] & drink.
my go to summer cocktail [to make myself] is a moscow mule. vodka, ginger beer, lime juice ..& you’re in business. plus they’re dangerously delicious.
but in an attempt, to expand my cocktail-creating skills ..I made a light, easy, not-too-sweet martini.
I usually always have these ingredients on hand. and if not, they’re simple to find. all you need is: vodka, cranberry juice, prosecco/champagne, & an orange.
[or in my case: a not-so-dainty martini/margarita glass].
I told you: easy!
as I’m writing this ..I’m thinking about how it would taste if you substitute the cranberry for orange juice? you know ..a little mimosa meets screwdriver action. hm, guess I’ll have to test it. oh shucks!
Oooh, looks good! I will order three please! :-) x
thanks rachel – I can have three ready in about 1 minute!! haha :) xo!!
