in honor of today being national lager day + with christmas only 15
short days away, I felt it was only appropriate to share my favorite wintertime brews.
these six seasonal craft beers are not only scrumptious, but their labels will play into your holiday decorations. bring to your next holiday party. or enjoy at home, in front of the fire.
[or while watching ABC Family, like I did last night. I had to have something that made me feel like an adult, while I was watching pretty little liars. #GuiltyPleasure].

I choose books by their covers and craft beers by their labels.
I’m a beer drinker. but not exclusively. I don’t discriminate against alcoholic beverages. unless it’s a dirty martini. that’s [J]’s cocktail of choice. and I tried a sip on our very first date, 6 years ago, and have refused it since. I’d say it’s taste resembles being swept under a wave in the pacific ocean with your mouth wide open. picture that.
when the temperatures increase, so do my fruity beer cravings.
[*editor’s note: I say fruity, because they are all brewed with fruit. but they are not “sweet fruity”. they’re delicious fruity. in my language, not “too sweet” that you can’t drink more than one. they’re a ‘lounge poolside & drink three’ kind of beers].

abita strawberry harvest lager. // brewed in louisiana.
wasatch apricot hefeweizen. // brewed in utah.
enjoy the warmer weather & enjoy a fruity beer.
occasionally the extremely pale, sun-sensitive skin and countless freckles get the better of me.
but most of the time, I’m just blessed to have strong irish roots.
we’re known for being kind, fun, and able to drink a beer, or eight. which is me to a T.

unless you’re working, like me. then celebrate with a beer afterwards.
but if not, may it go a bit like this ..
start with chocolate chip shamrock pancakes ..
then eat a reuben sandwich [corned beef + cabbage americanized, aka between two pieces of bread]..
and drink an irish or green beer ..
but most importantly, don’t forget to wear green.
or fear being pinched.
