I am the ultimate procrastinator. it’s built into my DNA to wait until the last possible minute to do anything. and this becomes oh so much worse during the holidays. I think denial is partially to blame. they always come much quicker than expected. well, I’m making a valiant effort to turn a new leaf this year. [hence all the holiday talk on the blog lately].
my biggest pitfall during the holidays is absolutely purchasing gifts in advance. I never do it. you can find me online shopping the week of christmas, writing cards to my loved ones saying their gifts are in the mail. and I always feel so bad, for obvious reasons.
hello new leaf.
I’m making gift guides for all the important people in my life. in advance. and sharing them with all of you, just in case you suffer from my
little holiday issue. let’s get our shopping done by december 11th! [two weeks before christmas day].
since it’s wedding wednesday, it only seemed appropriate to share my gift guide for my bridesmaids, who also happen to be my best friends.
1 // essie 5 piece holiday nail polish set.
2 // love ring.
3 // solid knit infinity scarf.
4 // crystal statement necklace.
5 // mini emergency kit.
6 // revlon lip stain.
7 // copper mug. ideal for moscow mules.
8 // mustache coffee mug.
9 // fliptop gloves.
10 // bow bracelet.
11 // rewined chardonnay candle.
12 // kate spade stud earrings. come in a ton of colors!!
with all the parties you
have get to attend this holiday season, dressing yourself can be stressful. to ease that stress, plan a couple of outfits in advance. so you’re ready for whatever comes your way.
wearing: v neck white tee // navy skirt // black booties.
and don’t forget the essentials for any holiday outfit:
a bright, statement necklace. // fun bracelet. // go-to festive + winter nail color: OPI romeo & joliet. // quick drying top coat: essie good to go. // red lipstick.
[*editor’s note: these items would make great stocking stuffers. just thinkin’ ahead].
and while we’re on the subject of christmas ..who is linking up with me next friday? it’s going to be fun!
I must interrupt our regularly scheduled programming.
we had our first snowfall.
usually I’m the opposite of excited, but I got to enjoy it from the safety + warmth of the indoors. so it was rather beautiful. and I decided to create a celebration around it.
[J] is 110% against anything christmas-related before thanksgiving, but I convinced him to put up our outdoor icicle lights on sunday evening. saying it’d be miserable to put them up when there is snow on the ground. what the heck happens the very next day? snow!
baileys irish cream + peppermint schnapps // pumpkin macaroons.
best enjoyed in front of a warm fire.
the holidays are coming.
time to bust out the flannel pajamas + baileys.
