amidst being a newlywed, planning a
second wedding reception, working full-time, and all of the other adventures daily life brings ..this little corner of the internet is transforming. again. since I began this blog four years ago, it has gone through many looks + stages. soon it will go through another. thanks a lot to the work of my graphic designer/husband.
you will slowly notice updates in the coming weeks.
the big unveiling will fingers crossed coincide with the start of the new year.
please bare with me.
any suggestions, content you really like, what you want to see more of, what you’re not crazy about ..I’d love to hear.
it’s nearly the weekend. thank goodness.
it has been awhile since you’ve heard from me. and I will assure you, I am working to eliminate my bad habits. and give my blog the attention it deserves, again.
between wedding planning, a full-time job, a
weekend part-time job, my 3 ABC family television show obsessions [pretty little liars, chasing life, and young + hungry], paying attention to my soon-to-be husband, and sleeping .. I am exhausted. but the truth is, this blog is not a side hobby. it’s essential. it’s my space to be creative and let my mind wander to the places my 9 to 5 job doesn’t let me go. if only I worked 9 to 5 every day. and when I’m away too long, I miss it. so even though things are growing even more hectic around here [just over two months until our wedding] ..I want to get LLinaBC back on track. it’s my sanity. and believe me, I need it.
let me share with you what I’ve been crushing lately ..
baublebar // the lovely ladies that make up baublebar’s SWAT team are my heroes. they helped me select my bridesmaids’ jewelry. and after I waited a tiny bit too long to place my order, one of the pieces was sold out. so they worked with me. and I could not be happier. not to mention, they sent me a surprise bauble just for me.
essie “she said yes” // brides insist on hair tutorials. add nail tutorials to that list for me. I have been testing various shades of polish for [J] + I’s big day. and I’ve got a thing for this one. the cute name helps.
absolut citron vodka // you’re never going to believe this, but using absolut citron in your moscow mule recipe makes them even better. just try it.
YSL glossy lip stain // thank you to the sweet sales associate at sephora who spent [at least] an hour with me, experimenting with ‘possible’ wedding day looks. this is a winner. it’s a lip stain & gloss in one. it’ll provide the right amount of lip color I want, without having to apply it every 10 minutes, and not leaving too much on [J]’s handsome face.
see you in
august tomorrow :)
without any notice, wedding planning went from a daunting task to a fun, whirlwind of pretty details. we’ve entered into the phase where I pick my bridesmaids’ jewelry and my soon-to-be husband’s socks. our signature cocktail, and what music will be playing before I walk down the beach aisle to my groom. basically I’m finally loving it. we’re done with the logistics ..and are onto making it “us”.
on july 21st, [J] + I hit a relationship milestone: one year engaged. and yet to take engagement photos.
but this weekend that will change.
here’s a sneak peek of what [J] made for our engagement session ..ahhhh.
I cannot wait to see the magic our photographers [steph + dado] create. and cannot wait to share.
can you guess what is up our sleeve?
have the best weekend. see ya monday!
