on july 21st, [J] & I set off on a sixteen day
vacation road trip across the country.
that same day we explored the state of south dakota.
and happened to get engaged.
set up camp during a hail storm in devils tower, WY.
received a history lesson at little bighorn battlefield, before embarking on the most amazing drive to yellowstone.
then there were two of my favorites night at yellowstone national park.
a weekend with friends in salt lake city.
our last night of camping // in estes park, CO.
and a gorgeous hike just outside of denver, CO.
we were happy to unite with [J]’s family for the remainder of our trip. which happened to take place four hours west of denver. in the small town of gunnison, CO. we were there to attend a wedding.
mt. princeton [of the collegiate peaks].
loved the place cards + vintage keys.
that dance floor was callin’ my name.
before heading back to denver, we had to make a special trip to crested butte, CO.
a quaint, beautiful town perfectly planted at the base of a mountain range.
it was my favorite.
rocking my white + turquoise spike capwell necklace.
we showed up just in time for an art fair.
a storm was on the horizon ..
we woke up the next morning, sad to say goodbye to our trip. but happy to be heading back home.
not before snapping a few shots of the beautiful sunflower field behind our hotel. looking out towards downtown denver.
[*editor’s note: it was 6AM. and I had not yet had my coffee. or the
opportunity desire to meet any make up].
until next time denver, colorado.
go on a road trip. go see the beautiful things that are only mere hours away. it’s amazing what is out there. and what you may find.
